My sister Barb, husband Mike and their dog Sam, took a road trip from Montclair, NJ all the way to La Farge, WI. They arrived on Saturday and left on Monday...brief but full stay!!
Neither had ever seen the Mississippi River, so on Sunday we took a drive along the river...stopped at the overlook park in Lansing, Iowa.
Saturday was Mike's birthday, so with Jonel/Andy and girls we had a celebratory dinner.
Although it was a long four years ago that we had last seen one another (in N.J.) it hardly seemed that kind of time could have passed.
We spent much time laughing and talking and eating, and yes, taking lots of photos.
It is at least a 900+ mile trip to come visit us here in Wisconsin, I am so grateful that Barb and Mike made the trip. We had a wonderful time together sharing old memories and making new ones.
